TMI’s Integrated Work Services Program was designed to help adults with disabilities to find paid jobs near their homes and to become active members of the community. We do this by helping them to find paid jobs that match their interests and skills and by assisting them to access everyday places like health clubs, schools, libraries, restaurants, and stores. In addition, many individuals are learning valuable work skills through volunteerism at local nonprofits in their communities.
TMI Job Coaches assist groups of three individuals to develop schedules of activities and provide them with the individualized training needed to help ensure their success. TMI provides services six hours a day, Monday – Friday and Job Coaches provide door-to-door transportation. TMI’s Integrated Work Services are funded by regional centers with funds from the State Department of Developmental Services.
