JOB DESCRIPTION - Program
Facilitator
The Facilitator performs direct service and support
under direct supervision of the Coordinator and indirect supervision
of the Director of either the Employment Services or Community Living
Services Programs and the CEO/CFO. The qualified candidate has working
knowledge of supported employment/integrated work or community living
and philosophy of community based instruction.
Additional Qualifications Include:
- BA/BS in human services or related area, or a combination of
related practical experience and education.
- One year experience working with individuals with disabilities
preferably in a community setting or related experience.
Community Living Services
The Community Support Facilitator will plan, coordinate and provide
individualized support to the person receiving services from T.M.I.
and will work under the direct supervision of the Community Support
Supervisor/Director of Community Living and indirect supervision
of the CEO and CFO. Hours are flexible based on the needs of the
individuals supported by the agency. The Community Support Facilitator
must work effectively with persons with disabilities, being sensitive
to their needs and preferences. The person who accepts this position
must have the ability to work with agency staff, family members,
and private citizens. He/she must be able to work independently
and as a member of a team.
Employment Solutions
The Community Employment Facilitator performs duties under direct
supervision of the Division Manager of Community Employment Services
and indirect supervision of the Director of Community Employment
Services and the Co-Executive Directors. The qualified candidate
has working knowledge of supported employment/integrated work and
the philosophy of community based instruction, and will be available
seven (7) days a week. The Floater's primary responsibility will
be to substitute for Integrated Work and Public School facilitators
with secondary responsibility in Supported Employment or other departments
within TMI. The Floater will be expected to accept all assignments
which become available in CES based on available scheduling. Regular
secondary assignments may not conflict with Integrated Work substitute
assignments. The qualified candidate will be guaranteed a minimum
of 10 hours per week as a CES Floater. This is not a benefit eligible
position.
