SUPPORTED LIVING
While there are many people who could make it on their own with only a few hours a week of "come in" support, others may need much more. The assistance of a readily available paid neighbor or, even a live-in paid companion, may be necessary for some individuals with more
significant support needs.

Services offered within Supported Living include, but are not limited to: personalized live-in or companion "come-in" supports as dictated by the persons needs such as:

  • A paid neighbor or roommate
  • House/apartment hunting and transition assistance
  • Financial assistance, budgeting and bill paying
  • Household care, maintenance and safety practices
  • Recruitment, screening, hiring, supervision of personal attendants, roommates or other support providers
  • Community orientation, access, participation and safety
  • Menu/meal planning, shopping and food preparation
  • Personal/domestic assistance, accessing generic resources and self advocacy
  • Parenting skills
  • Health maintenance and medication management
  • Making and maintaining relationships with others
  • Assistance with IHSS
  • Applying for Section 8 Housing
