Dr. Rachel L. Harris

Since 1991, Rachel has worked in the field of social services serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She has also provided therapeutic services to military veterans and their families. Rachel holds a B.A. in Behavioral Science, a Master’s Degree in Psychological Counseling from National University and earned her Ph.D. in Behavioral Science from American College Theological Seminary International University (ACTS-IU). She sits on numerous committees including California Disability Services Association, Developmental Disability Provider Network and San Diego Regional Center Vendor Advisory Committee. Under her dynamic leadership, TMI is steadily growing and becoming one of the most innovative, cutting edge and progressive organizations in the industry. In 2020, she was voted a semifinalist for CEO of the Year in the San Diego Business Journal.

Rachel’s dedication to service is not only seen professionally but also in the community. She carries a genuine commitment to youth and gravitates toward opportunities to invest in their bright futures. Rachel passionately assists her husband, who is a Pastor, in many projects to include community clothing giveaways, scholarship opportunities for graduating youth, raising donations for Children’s Hospital, providing holiday gifts for neighborhood children, creating youth programs and services, community health and fitness programs, senior support programs, delivering food to those in need, and much more.

Rachel is driven by her faith, values and belief that she can make a difference. She inspires those around her through empowerment and leadership. She exudes great joy when spending time with her family and believes in setting an example for their six children and ten grandchildren to spread love in this world. Rachel believes that the biggest gift one can give is the gift of servitude; serving others unconditionally brings about true fulfillment and humility. She looks forward to transforming lives for many years to come!
