At Toward Maximum Independence (TMI), our mission is rooted in the power of community. For several years, clients with our Community Integration Training Program (CITP) who have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities have been bringing this mission to life through a meaningful partnership with the Murrieta Senior Center.

Some people don’t just hold a job—they leave an indelible mark on an entire organization. After an extraordinary 32-year career as an Office Aide with our San Diego office, we recently gathered to honor Sandy as she officially enters a well-deserved retirement. We celebrated the legacy of a woman with Down syndrome who has truly become the heart of Toward Maximum Independence (TMI).

On April 7, 2026, that belief was on full display as we celebrated a major milestone: the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of our new, upgraded Temecula office! It was an incredible day filled with joy, connection, and a shared vision for the future. We were honored to welcome approximately 200 guests to our new home at 41463 Margarita Road...
