Each member’s voice is valued and relied upon to help TMI make a lasting impact on the lives of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as the deaf and hard of hearing. As VP/Branch Manager at Silvergate Bank, Bryan has been in the banking industry since 2004. He is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Bryan lives in Rancho San Diego with his wife, Meghan, and their two children. He joined TMI’s Board of Directors in 2013 and is currently serving as the Chair. Bryan is actively involved with the agency’s Finance Committee. It gives him great happiness to have the opportunity to help TMI transform the lives of our most vulnerable citizens. Bryan can be contacted directly at bshull@silvergatebank.com.

BRYAN SHULL

Christopher runs his own law firm, Walters Law Group, specializing in business litigation and employment law. He graduated from U.C. Berkeley and the University of Southern California law school. A resident of San Diego since 2000, Christopher lives in the East County with his wife and three daughters. He has been on TMI’s Board of Directors since 2014 and currently serves as Vice Chair. TMI’s mission is close to his heart and he is pleased to sit on a Board that has a real impact on our community. Christopher can be contacted directly at clw@walters-law-group.com.

CHRISTOPHER WALTERS

Norman began working with TMI in the 1990s as a Job Coach in the Employment Solutions department. In 2001, he and his wife decided to expand their family and together became involved with TMI’s Resource Family program where they became a loving foster family. Norman joined TMI’s Board of Directors in 2014 and brings with him a well-rounded knowledge of TMI and many years of hands-on experience with Family Support Services. He is currently serving as the Board Treasurer.

NORMAN FALEONO

Alice joined Barney & Barney in 2008 as a Principal in the Employee Benefits department. She began her career in Employee Benefits in 1981 as the Benefits Manager for a healthcare organization and has been increasing her knowledge and experience within the benefits sector ever since. Alice has worked to administrate benefits within large companies, service large accounts for a provider, and has earned a reputation as an exceptional independent broker. She is happy for the opportunity to give back to a company whose mission she truly believes in.

ALICE CAMPBELL

Born in Sycamore, Illinois, Brent moved to California in 1983 and began working in the support field for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In 1991, he joined TMI and has had a bright and successful career with us. Brent has earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues. He is an amazing job developer and a dedicated advocate for our clients. “I truly believe God put me on this earth to help others, especially individuals with developmental challenges. I have chosen to stay with TMI because of the complete inclusionary process that the company offers. We, as an agency, practice what we preach.” Brent is an avid sports fan and enjoys spending time with his family. Elected by his peers for his third term, Brent is honored to serve as TMI’s Board Staff Representative.

BRENT RAMSEY

Cory has been with TMI's Independent Living program since 2009. He completed his general studies at Landmark College, as well coursework at California State University, Sacramento. In addition, he has completed Kaiser Permanente Positive Choice Wellness Center 14-week courses, regularly attends spina bifida national and regional conferences, ability expos, as well as the San Diego State University Fitness Clinic for Individuals with Disabilities. Cory has had paid employment with Landmark College, LD America and Giant Eagle Supermarket, as well as volunteered at Morton Plant Hospital, Therapeutic Recreation Services and KPBS-TV/FM 89.5. He joined our Board to learn the inner workings of TMI and to see his own case from a new perspective.

CORY

A retired Northrop Grumman Project Manager, Cathy has served on TMI's Board since 2007. She is married with two daughters. Her daughter Jenny has Down syndrome and participated in TMI’s Supported Employment program for more than ten years. Cathy served two terms as Board Chair. She views her Board service as an opportunity to give back to an organization that provided Jenny with many years of independence in the workplace; a JOY in Jenny’s life!

CATHY BISHOP

Originally from western New York State, Tom moved to San Diego in 1986. He is a graduate of Canisius College where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Tom also received his J.D. from California Western School of Law in San Diego. He is an attorney and a member of the California Bar Association. Joining the Board of Directors in 2004, Tom became interested in serving on TMI’s Board while receiving services from the agency and currently holds the esteemed notoriety of being the longest-serving member of our Board!

TOM COLLIGAN

Louise Fougner has recently retired after 40 years as an educator. Her experience includes both special education and the general education classroom, mostly with preschool to second grade.  Louise still acts as an early childhood consultant for The Cambridge School in San Diego. She has been married to Pete Fougner for 37 years and they have two adult children. Their daughter has special needs and lives in a group home in Chula Vista. Louise enjoys hiking, Pilates, reading, baking, and playing the flute. Her retirement has allowed more flexibility for travel, which she and Pete both enjoy. Louise is thrilled to join the TMI Board!

LOUISE FOUGNER

Jocelyn is a Consultant with her firm Decisions In Context, providing finance and analytic services to help companies make profitable business plans and decisions, and improve the insight and efficiency of financial processes. Prior to starting her own consulting practice, Jocelyn was the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis - Americas at the WD-40 Company. She received a Master’s degree in Finance from Bentley University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from San Diego State University. Jocelyn joined TMI’s Board of Directors in 2013 and served two terms as Treasurer. She is passionate about fiscal matters impacting TMI and its employees and clients, and is actively involved with the organization’s Finance, Investment and 401(k) Committees.

JOCELYN GONZALEZ

Michelle worked in the financial services industry for more than 20 years and is currently working in real estate. After attending a tour of the TMI San Diego office and learning the many ways TMI serves people with developmental disabilities, she was in awe of the TMI programs, as well as the passion and pride of the employees. In early 2013, she joined TMI as a Board Member and has felt blessed to watch the organization transform…always looking for ways to better serve their clients and to raise awareness that individuals with developmental disabilities have dreams just like everyone else.

MICHELE MAMERTO

Heather Martin was born and raised in San Diego, CA.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from UC Riverside. After college she worked at Forest Lawn Memorial Parks in Glendale, CA where she was introduced to the field of grief counseling.  Heather returned to San Diego and completed her Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Bethel University. She began working in the mental health field as an intern at an alternative school for at risk youth.  Heather also interned at a crisis house for two years before moving to acute adult outpatient care. Over the next 12 years she worked as a clinician, bilingual outreach program coordinator, and program director of an outpatient mental health clinic.  Heather currently lectures and presents on mental health awareness topics throughout California.

HEATHER MARTIN

Donaven is a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones in Rancho San Diego. He is a San Diego native and a graduate from San Diego State University with a Bachelor's degree in Management. He has been in the financial industry since 2010. His experience allows him to directly impact many lives by helping them achieve their life long financial goals. Donaven is an avid sports fan and enjoys spending time with his wife, son and dog Rocky. He believes that it is his duty to help and to serve those who need it the most. Donaven is honored to serve TMI and their clients to help them achieve their goals and needs.
