All Smiles From the Feeling Fit Club

Updated: May 15, 2019

Every Monday and Wednesday morning for more than three years, Toward Maximum Independence (TMI) Integrated Work clients Chris, Maggie and Erica, along with their Job Coach Subhadra Hemphill, have gone to the Park & Rec Senior Center (formerly Livewell) in North Clairemont to help set up for the senior exercise class. The seniors are very appreciative and if for some reason the clients have a day off, the seniors always tell them how much they were missed and needed when they were away. The clients feel the same way and have built a wonderful sense of comradery with the seniors. The clients even join in on the class that is taught by their amazing instructor Joyce. It makes us happy to see so many smiling faces in the “Feeling Fit Club!” Keep up the good work Chris, Maggie and Erica!

The Feeling Fit Club

An estimated 1 in 6 people are born with a developmental disability. Just like you, they are born with hopes, dreams and the drive to contribute to society. Since 1981 Toward Maximum Independence (TMI) has transformed thousands of lives by providing assistance to children and adults with developmental disabilities, giving them the ability to realize their hopes and dreams.
