Issues discussed included opposing the budget proposal to reduce service days which would financially impact clients and staff, temporary rate relief until the system wide rate study is implemented, protecting the choice and options for individuals with developmental disabilities, improving employment outcomes, and a proposal to invest funds that become available from any repurposing of developmental center land to provide affordable housing for people with developmental disabilities. TMI had the opportunity to meet with Senator Jeff Stone and many other senators or their representatives.

It was a productive conference. We hope to see much needed change to our system in the near future!
